"Delicious and Easy Maple Glazed Salmon Recipe for a Healthy Meal"

=====

  • Dish name: Maple Glazed Salmon

  • Cuisine: American/Canadian

  • Preparation time: 10 minutes

  • Cooking time: 20 minutes

  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup

  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Season your salmon fillets with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  3. Combine the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper in a bowl to create the glaze.

  4. Heat olive oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Sear the salmon fillets in the hot skillet, skin-side up, for about 3 minutes. Flip over and brush generously with the maple glaze.

  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 7 to 10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and glazes over.

  7. Remove from oven and brush the salmon with any remaining glaze before serving.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Quality Maple Syrup: Use real, pure maple syrup for the best flavor, as artificial syrups won't give the same result.

  • Searing the Salmon: Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon to create a delicious sear without sticking.

  • Thickness of Fillets: Adjust cooking times depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Thicker pieces may take longer to cook through.

  • Glaze Consistency: If you prefer a thicker glaze, you can reduce it on the stove over low heat until it reaches your desired consistency before brushing it onto the salmon.

  • No Ovenproof Skillet: If you don't have an ovenproof skillet, sear the salmon in a regular pan and then transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to finish cooking in the oven.

  • Resting: Allow the salmon to rest for a few minutes after removing it from the oven so the juices can redistribute.

  • Garnish: Garnish with fresh herbs such as dill or parsley to add color and freshness to the dish.
